PERFORMANCE

In November 2020, we presented our first concert at the historic Ross Ragland Theater in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

 

In partnership with Klamath Film, we broadcast live and pre-filmed segments in front of a live audience, simultaneously reaching rural local audiences and a livestream audience around the world.

 

This partnership allowed The Virtuosa Society to not only engage a wider audience, but also spotlight a small theatrical gem in Southern Oregon and the work of local organizations striving to bring art to the region in new ways.

 

We did this without seed money, on a $0 budget, driven by the courage required to innovate in the midst of one of the most challenging pandemic-lockdown periods – mirroring an age-old struggle faced by many of the female composers we champion.
