InstaLIVE Maestra Masterclass Announcement & Tribute to The Ghosts of Tin Pan Alley

The time is near, Virtuosas! The grand reveal of our very first Maestra Masterclass guest leader will be revealed LIVE on Instagram this Saturday, November 11th, at 3pm PT! Also happening this Saturday, Katie, on behalf of Virtuosa Society, will be collaborating with the incredible female founders of Cargo Emporium and dear friends from Cielo Home in Portland, Oregon alongside their diverse vendors from throughout the world to celebrate and raise funds for the outreach programs of Whitebird Dance Company.

Katie will be paying tribute to the ghostwriters who helped shape American music post-WWII. In the latest episode of the Virtuosa Society Podcast, she digs deeper into the male-dominated music industry of the 1940's, peeling back layers of history to give credit to the women who had no choice but to embody pseudonyms in order to share their art with the world.

Katie will be presenting a selection of jazz pieces by the songwriters featured in Episode 7 of the Virtuosa Society Podcast, in a musical tribute: “Remarkable Women of Tin Pan Alley: Irene Higginbotham, Ann Ronell and Anna Sosenko.” 

Katie's tribute will be performed live at the Cielo Home Grand Opening & Holiday Open House at Cargo Emporium in Portland, Oregon at 6pm.
